Hotel Vittoria

A historic 5-star superior hotel, a late nineteenth-century Art Nouveau masterpiece, nestled between Lake Como and the surrounding mountains in the charming village of Menaggio, a corner of paradise with breathtaking views. The Grand Hotel Victoria has been completely modernized in a way that respects its long history. Today, it aims to enhance the wonders of Made in Italy: art and landscape. The hotel features a restaurant with panoramic lake views and a designer gourmet restaurant; two bars; a heated outdoor pool; a wellness area with an indoor pool and hot tub; four meeting rooms; a fitness room; a play area for children. The outdoor spaces in particular have been designed to dialogue with nature and the surrounding landscape.

Cotto d’Este floor and wall tiles were selected for the renovation, particularly for the Spa area, in which strength, antibacterial properties, hygiene and durability are essential and indispensable qualities. The collection of large Kerlite 6Plus Pietra d’Iseo slabs in the Ceppo shade was used to cover the swimming pool and the floors of the changing rooms, while the 20mm-thick slabs were used for the poolside floor. This features an irregular stone effect with tone-on-tone greys that lend the room character and grace at the same time. For a pleasant contrast that enhances the features of Pietra d’Iseo, the modern finesse of the metal effect characterises the wall cladding where the Kerlite 5Plus Metal laminated porcelain stoneware slabs, in the Iron version, stand out, producing a sophisticated and contemporary result.

Brightness, elegance and splendour characterize the walls of the bathrooms covered with large, thin 100×300 cm slabs of Kerlite 5Plus Exedra, in the Calacatta Glossy colour: the marble’s vein patterns are clearly shown with extreme precision and with a three-dimensional effect that conveys an incredible visual depth. Finally, the Spa lobby features Kerlite 3plus Buxy Corail Blanc laid on the floor and Kerlite 3plus Black&White covering the walls of the elevator. The intensely natural look conferred by Buxy, which draws inspiration from a stone originating in French Burgundy, conveys warmth, while the black used in the elevator completes the overall look with elegance and style. Pleasing to the eye and safe for your well-being. All the selected collections are part of the Protect® antibacterial line, the exclusive range of floor and wall coverings which, thanks to a silver ion shield incorporated in the product, kills up to 99.9% of bacteria, 24 hours a day, forever. Because protecting guests is just as important as exclusive style.
