The high-quality and technological ceramic surfaces of Cotto d’Este in Italy’s first smart district

Cotto d’Este is starring in an extraordinary project involving the creation of the new Uptown Milano district, near the former EXPO area. Architect Alessandro Scandurra and engineer Umberto Zanetti chose the company’s high-quality ceramic to “dress” part of the interiors and exteriors of cutting-edge buildings.

Perfectly in line with the range by Cotto d’Este, which has always been distinguished by its commitment to offering products with excellent performance and minimal environmental impact, Uptown already encompasses a first batch of apartments, for which the brand has provided over 15,000 sq m of ceramic surface.

The Uptown project once again confirms Cotto d’Este’s ability to respond to the needs of particularly important, ambitious projects. The taste and refined style that distinguish Made in Italy production are united with tradition and ceramic quality, as well as a continuous technological research, to create very elegant, prestigious solutions.

Ranging from impressive thicknesses of 14mm and 20mm to Kerlite, ultra-thin large-format ceramic slabs, Cotto d’Este offers unique products that can be used for architectural coverings, as well as for sophisticated and luxurious interiors and furnishing elements.
